WELCOME
-
We are a friendly group with a great love of patchwork and quilting.
-
We usually meet on the second Monday of every month (except August) at Westbury-on-Trym Methodist Church, Westbury Hill, Bristol BS9 3AA. Meetings commence at 7.30 pm and usually finish at 9. We are able to gather in the reception area from 7 pm and can provide tea and coffee. Please bring a mug with you.
-
Annual membership currently is £30.00, maximum 45 members
-
Visitors are very welcome but please contact us in advance. We charge a nominal fee of £5.00, refundable if you join.
-
Show and tell of members' work is a highlight of every meeting followed by either a speaker or a sewing session.
-
Westbury Park Quilters was founded in 1992 by a group of enthusiastic quilters. The group has grown and moved premises but the enthusiasm of the original members has remained.
-
We have an exhibition every three years where the diversity of skills on display range from beginners to the more experienced, from the traditional quilter to the modern, contemporary or art quilter. Our next exhibition is in 2027.
-
Annual quilt challenges are set by the Chair. Challenges are a great opportunity for members to try out new styles and techniques of patchwork and quilting but there is no obligation to participate.
-
Sewing and skills nights are both instructive and a fun way to socialize with other members.
