Ruhi Chowdhury - Kantha - the rag quilting embroidery from the East
Ruhi worked in the fashion industry in India before coming to Bristol two years ago and has a passion for traditional Indian embroidery
October 9th - AGM
Venue is Friends Meeting House, 126 Hampton Road, Redland, BS6 6JE
Alison Lister - Textile Conservation
Alison has worked on many antique and vintage fabrics including curtains at the National Trust property, Tyntesfield
We will be gathering from 19:15 in the Lobby. The Hall is available for set-up from 19:30, and we will aim to be underway by 19:45

Frances Meredith - The Final Stretch
Frances will be talking about the decisions which need to be made when finishing your quilt, discussing quilting, backing, thread and more

Jo Avery Temperature Quilts and Beyond
A temperature quilt is created by assigning certain fabrics to specific temperatures. These are used to record daily temperatures in your local area in the current year, but could also represent another place or time entirely.

Linda designed her 'It's Very Simple' quilt using inspiration from Roman mosaic floors, labyrinths and Victorian/Edwardian garden paths. She talks in detail about making the quilt, what is has been used for and why she chose to talk about it.
